This rural cottage, which adjoins the owners’ 17th-century farmhouse, is perfectly placed for families to enjoy a range of activities, stunning views and fantastic walking trails from the doorstep. Brynsiencyn is the nearest village, just under a mile away with a small range of cafes, restaurants and shops to explore. Just outside of the village is Foel Farm Park (3 miles), a popular day out for those with kids as there are opportunities to hold the animals and take a ride on a tractor as well as get a glimpse of how chocolate is made. For beach days, Newborough Beach (7 miles) is a great option with picturesque views and plenty to do. Well placed to be in the countryside but near the beach and the city, head to the city of Bangor for a wide selection of eateries and shopping experiences.

The open-plan living space makes the heart of the home, with a wood burner, two comfortable sofas, a dining table set for four and a warm ambience throughout. For mealtimes, the renovated kitchen is a great space with reclaimed materials and wooden beams creating a unique area. Sitting above the living area is a crog loft with a single bed, accessed by a steep ladder. Both the king-size room and twin room boast views into the garden, with built-in wardrobes and thoughtful touches throughout. To refresh after a long day of exploring, the family shower room has a corner shower with a seat for comfort, it is fully tiled and benefits from underfloor heating; a real treat for the cooler months of the year. Enjoy the games room located in an outbuilding in the garden. Here you can enjoy table football, Xbox One and a selection of games. A bike rack for 3 bikes is also attached to the side of the games room.

To the front of the cottage is a pretty garden, whilst at the rear, a lush green lawn garden and paved area with seating and BBQ is the best place to be during the summer months. There’s even a small football goal to get a little family competition going.

A lovely quirky cottage. Very clean, well equipped & very comfortable. The welcome pack was unexpected, but much appreciated. Eira made us feel very welcome. The cottage is in a perfect location - only a short car ride to Newborough Forest/Beach,which is a must, especially if you have a dog, or children. There is a view of Snowdon/Caernarfon CastleRead more in the distance. A large secure garden which Luna (our Boxer) was most impressed with. The village pub is closed Mon to Weds, but pulls a lovely pint of Guinness. We will definitely be coming back to Blochdy! Hide

There is upcycling materials for a greener enviroment, and using old clutter in the name of upcycling this property falls into the latter category. A general declutter would vastly improve things and add to what could be a charming property. The owner cannot be faulted for her warm welcome and generous goodies on arrival.

The property owner was very welcoming and respects your privacy. The cottage is in a wonderful location with a large, secure garden for dogs to freely roam. Sadly, we did not enjoy our stay here as this is the dirtiest property we have ever stayed in and needs a thorough deep clean. It is in dire need of an upgrade to its fittings and furnishings aRead mores many items are worn, broken, stained, mouldy and rusted. The drains in the bathroom smell extremely bad. Also, the central heating is only switched on from October to April, which is unacceptable. It does not match the listed 4-star grade Hide
