Ever-popular Lyme Regis is nestled along the stunning Jurassic Coastline. Holidays here offer charming streets lined with many independent shops, galleries and eateries, which wind their way to the picturesque seafront. Situated in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage site, you can step outside and explore the rich history of the town, from its iconic Cobb Harbour, swathes of pebble beach, to the literary landmarks that dot its landscape. Whether you're seeking seaside relaxation or outdoor activities like fossil hunting and coastal walks, Lyme Regis has something for everyone. Within 13 miles you can also explore many pretty towns and villages including Axminster, Beer, Bridport, West Bay, Eype, Seaton and Burton Bradstock.

This ground floor garden apartment with a private entrance, opens into this welcoming property, newly refurbished. To your left is the first of the two bedrooms, which is furnished with twin beds. This room looks out over the street and there is a shared stylish shower room next door. The remaining bedroom has a pretty dressing area and sits to the other side of the shower room. This king size room is lit by a light tunnel, creating a cosy ambience. The hallway opens into a fabulous open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with an orangery style roof that floods the space with light. The contemporary kitchen runs along one wall and there is space to dine just opposite. An inviting lounge area is arranged around a Smart TV and is the perfect spot in which to unwind after a day spent exploring. We really enjoyed our few days at Selkie. We was welcomed with a lovely hamper and the property had ad essentials just in case you had forgot yours. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and had everything you could need to feel at home. It was a minute walk to the shops and a few minutes to the beach. The parking was the only problem but weRead more was able to find spaces close buy after we came back from our days exploring that was free after 6. We. Having just returned from a week at Selkie, we can thoroughly recommend the cottage. It is perfectly located being just a few minutes walk down to the sea front. The cottage is beautifully finished and well equipped throughput, bedrooms are very comfortable, kitchen is well equipped (note: no washing machine, though), and a large living room with cRead moreomfy sofa's which opens to the patio. Although there is no parking at the property itself, visitors can use the library parking opposite for unloading and loading. There are long stay car parks nearby, although off-street parking is possible a little way up the hill in Silver Street. There are plenty of wonderful cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby and throughout the town. Notable was the 'Whole Hog' for pulled pork buns and also special donuts! The Lyme Bay restaurant is also great, nice terrace overlooking the sea. Do also go to the brewery, set in a sunny courtyard...perfect! A Tesco and Co-op just a few minutes walk away were very handy as well. Overall, it's a truly wonderful place to stay in Lyme Regis, we had a lovely time, and Rebecca was so helpful in answering a few questions we had. We would recommend it in a heartbeat and will be looking to return later this year. Hide
