This semi-detached house offers accommodation over three floors. Nestled on the edge of this beautiful, historical market town which had strategic significance in the English Civil War in 1646. There is plenty to see and do nearby, including visiting the sandy beaches of either Instow or Westward Ho!, (both within 10 miles) the latter of which offers a fantastic 2-mile-wide sandy beach, great for families and surfers. Alternatively, walk or cycle along the Tarka Trail which can be accessed via Torrington Common (under 1 mile). Other places of interest include the fishing village of Clovelly (13 miles), The Milky Way Adventure Park (12 miles) and RHS Rosemoor Gardens (1.5 miles). Plan evenings out to The Plough which has a wonderful programme of events, form comedy to music, throughout the year.

Enter the property into the hallway which is an ideal spot to throw off your coats and shoes after a busy day and enter the attractive open-plan kitchen/diner, which has everything you need to cater for your stay. The kitchen itself is perfectly presented and appointed with a great range of appliances and equipment including a Smart TV, sound bar and games console, which makes this a great sociable and entertaining space. Doors lead out from the dining area to the rear garden and enables guests to dine alfresco with ease when the weather is warm. The lounge area also offers comfy sofas and a large Smart TV. A handy separate WC completes the ground floor. Head back through the kitchen and the hallway will lead you upstairs to the lovely sleeping accommodation. On the first floor you'll find three bedrooms, two double rooms, both with Smart TVs and one single room. There is also a bathroom with a bath, separate shower enclosure and WC completing the first floor. Head on up a further flight of stairs to the master bedroom with a king-size bed and Smart TV, and this room has the benefit of an en-suite shower room and WC.

Heading outside there is a rear garden with artificial grass and a patio area with garden furniture, a BBQ, a private hot tub and views over the surrounding countryside – a perfect area to relax.

This should have been a great holiday cottage, but the owners werent contactable. The hot tub was dirty when we arrived, and had a broken lid, so couldnt be used (one of the main reasons we booked). The outside seating couldnt be used as was soaking wet. There were lots of issues, which was such a shame, as Im sure they could have been easily recRead moretified. The lounge and kitchen diner are lovely, well equipped, and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Hide

Very friendly owners and a great base for exploring the North Devon coastline. Lots of places only a 15-20 minute drive - Bideford, Instow, Appledore, Westward-Ho! etc. Hot tub was excellent and the house was very clean and comfortable.
