Situated in a peaceful, semi-rural location but within 0.5 miles of the pretty village of Burwash with its local pubs, food store and tea rooms. It is located in the beautiful High Weald of Sussex, making it ideal for friends or families to explore local towns and villages and the East Sussex coast. Locally, the Lakedown Trout Fishery and micro-brewery is just 4 miles away and for history lovers, Bateman’s is 0.5 miles. There are several National Trust properties close by: Bodiam (9 miles) and Scotney (12 miles) and a bit further afield, Penshurst and Hever (just over 20 miles). Famous gardens are Pashley Manor and Great Dixter, and Sarah Raven’s Perch Hill. Exploring the 1066 countryside could not be easier with Battle 10 miles away and the Town of Rye, 19 miles. There is a train station in Etchingham (3 miles) with regular services to London and the coast.

From the side entrance, step into the kitchen of this welcoming cottage and instantly start to relax. The property has been comfortably furnished with many lovely touches. The ground floor is open plan and has an inglenook fireplace housing a wood burner as its centre piece. The sitting room has rugs with a large sofa, a wing-backed armchair, coffee table and a Smart TV for relaxation. As well as a dining table with seating for four there is a dedicated desk and chair. The adjoining kitchen is modern and fully equipped to meet all your cooking and preparation requirements. The stairs are open from the living area and upstairs you will find two bedrooms both with high-quality bed linen. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, with lovely countryside views. There is a built-in wardrobe, dressing table and a hairdryer. The twin room has two single beds with hooks with hangers on the back of the door. The bathroom is modern with a shower over the bath, and a WC.

Outside you will find an enclosed garden with planted borders. There is a charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining and at the very bottom of the garden there is a gate, beyond which is a managed beehive.
