Set in a picturesque countryside location within Dartmoor National Park, this idyllic retreat is ideally situated for those wanting to explore spectacular walks, rugged tors, diverse wildlife, and spectacular scenery right from your door. Within the five-star estate surrounding the lodge, you’ll find a range of attractions including luxurious spa facilities, tennis courts, a gym, children's activities, and various other on-site amenities to suit every taste. The historic town of Moretonhampstead, famous for its independent shops, inviting cafes, and classic car museum, is just a short 2.75-mile journey away for those seeking a nearby excursion.

Further afield the coastal towns of Teignmouth (20miles) and Torquay (24miles) provide beaches and water-sports, and the city of Plymouth with its National Marine Aquarium (a fantastic attraction for adults and children alike) and the historic Barbican area with the Mayflower steps where the Pilgrim Fathers are believed to have left England on board the Mayflower ship in 1620 to cross the Atlantic and settle in America.

Enter the property from a flight of external stairs and step inside the open plan kitchen/dining area. A fully equipped kitchen with a dining table for six guests provides a great communal space for mealtimes. This quirky lodge has five tiers with one leading upstairs to a King-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. From the kitchen area, down a flight of stairs leads you to the lounge area with Smart TV, sofas, open stone fireplace and double doors leading to a spacious decked terrace with table and chairs. Moving downstairs from the lounge you’ll find a useful utility room with washer/dryer and down the hall is another spacious King-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Continuing downstairs to the lower floor is the final bedroom with a zip and link super-king bed and en-suite shower room with WC and double doors leading to a sheltered outdoor decking space.

There is a large, decked balcony space with BBQ (charges apply) and table and chairs to enjoy mealtimes or unwind outdoors with the birdsong.

On occasion the hotel has private functions in it’s lounges, bar and restaurants that may affect their availability to our lodge guests.
