Nestled in a charming countryside location within the boundaries of Dartmoor National Park, this blissful retreat is perfectly positioned for exploring the area’s stunning walks, rocky tors, diverse wildlife and breathtaking scenery right from your doorstep. Enjoy numerous attractions situated within the five-star estate surrounding the lodge with spa facilities at your leisure, tennis courts, gym, children’s activities, and further on-site facilities available to fulfil everyone’s idea of excitement. The historic town of Moretonhampstead, known for its independent shops, cozy cafes and classic car museum is just a short 2.75-mile journey should you fancy a trip nearby.
Further afield the coastal towns of Teignmouth (20miles) and Torquay (24miles) provide beaches and water-sports, and the city of Plymouth with its National Marine Aquarium (a fantastic attraction for adults and children alike) and the historic Barbican area with the Mayflower steps where the Pilgrim Fathers are believed to have left England on board the Mayflower ship in 1620 to cross the Atlantic and settle in America.
Step inside this beautiful bolthole on the middle floor and to your right is a WC and separate utility space with washer/dryer. Wander down the hallway overlooking the lounge area from above and you’ll find the first bedroom, a king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Back down the hallway to your left is a large balcony space with views of the countryside. From the middle floor moving upstairs is a second bedroom, a zip and link super king size bed with spacious en-suite bathroom offering a separate shower, bath and WC. From the middle floor going down the stairs you’ll find an open-plan lounge, kitchen, dining area. Boasting a comfortable lounge space with Smart TV, fireplace and ample seating moving into the fully equipped kitchen area with a dining table to seat all guests comfortably. Completing the lower floor is the final bedroom which offers a zip and link super king size bed and en-suite shower room and WC.
To the rear of the lodge there is an outdoor dining area accessed via the lounge, complete with seating. Front decked area with a BBQ to enjoy alfresco meals or a space to enjoy the sunshine.
For Guests booking over the Christmas period:
- Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are not available in the hotel from the afternoon of 24th until after breakfast on 27th December.
- A pre-booked Christmas day lunch can be ordered to your lodge along with sharing platters for 24th & 25th evenings, and a cooked meal on 26th evening.
- Smith’s Brasserie will be open from the evening of 24th December and all day on 25th & 26th December between 9am and 8pm for drinks only.
- The main hotel bar and lounges are reserved exclusively for our hotel package guests on these days between noon and 8pm.
- Before Christmas and between Christmas and New Year normal restaurant opening times operate and pre-booking is recommended.
For guests booking over the New Year period:
- Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are not available in the hotel from the afternoon of 31st December until after breakfast on 2nd January.
- A pre-booked sharing platter can be ordered to your lodge for the evening of 31st December, and a cooked meal on 1st January evening.
- Smith’s Brasserie will be open all day on 31st December & 1st January between 9am and 8pm for drinks only.
- The main hotel bar and lounges are reserved exclusively for our hotel package guests on these days between noon and 8pm.
- Between Christmas and New Year and after New Year normal restaurant opening times operate.
