Located just a few metres from the shops, bars and restaurants on the popular high street and a two-minute walk (0.5 miles) to the town’s latest tourist attraction, Ad Gefrin the Anglo-Saxon Museum and whiskey distillery. This area has beautiful walking and cycling territory with access to the Cheviot Hills, St. Cuthbert’s Way, the Northumberland National Park (2.75 miles), and many trails and hiking paths. Close by, enjoy a stroll by the river, followed by ice cream or milkshakes in the milk bar, and play a round of golf. Discover the spectacular views and ancient hill forts at Yeavering Bell (4.25 miles) and College Valley (8.5 miles). Explore Berwick-upon-Tweed (16.75 miles), Bamburgh Castle and glorious beach ( 16.5 miles) and head to enchanting Holy Island (17.5 miles).

Three stone steps lead up to the front door of this welcoming, semi-detached property, then you will head straight into the open-plan lounge/dining room where you can relax on comfortable leather sofas to rest weary walking legs. There is a selection of books and games to enjoy during your stay and a Smart TV for evening entertainment. The dining table has seating for four where you can share mealtimes sitting together or spread out your maps and plan walks and activities. A door leads into the sunroom where you will find two more comfortable sofas to relax on; this is an ideal spot for reading or enjoying your morning coffee. Moving into the well-equipped kitchen, you will find an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. Upstairs on the first floor are two well-presented bedrooms, a king-size and a twin bedroom, each with a wall-mounted TV. The king-size bedroom has a dressing area with plenty of storage space and an armchair and views towards the church and nearby hills. The twin bedroom has a view towards the High Street. The contemporary family bathroom completes the accommodation with a wet room-style walk-in shower and WC.

First class accomodation. Everything you could wish for, a real home from home. We will be back for another stay. We will certainly be recommending Lionel's Den to everyone we know. Thank you for our great stay, we didn't want it to end, we were so relaxed.
