This welcoming cottage enjoys a quiet, end-of-terrace corner spot in Seahouses, with the harbour, sandy beach, shops, bars and restaurants all within less than 1 mile. Ideally placed for exploring the area, you can leave the car and enjoy walks and picnics on the local beach, play golf or crazy golf, and book a boat trip to the Farne Islands to see grey seals, seabirds, and puffins in the season. Walk the coastal path to visit Bamburgh Castle (3 miles), sample the food in the village cafes and restaurants and play on the vast beach afterwards. Neighbouring Beadnell Bay (4 miles) is perfect for beach strolling while watching the water sports and has a beachside cafe. Alnwick Castle and Gardens (14 miles) are a must-see, as is a trip to beautiful Holy Island (19.5 miles).
From the driveway, access to this stone-built cottage is via a couple of shallow steps and in through the conservatory where you will find comfortable seating providing a pleasant, alternative sitting room for enjoying a coffee and a book. From here, head into the hallway with a door into the utility room. Another door leads to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has been furnished with a cosy wood burner set into the stone, an inglenook fireplace, a Smart TV for entertainment, and plenty of seating so you can all relax and unwind after a day exploring this wonderful area. The dining table has seating for six and the kitchen has all the equipment you need for self-catered family meals. Also on the ground floor, just off the lounge, are the light and airy downstairs double bedroom, and the contemporary family bathroom with underfloor heating, a shower over the bath and WC. On the first floor, there are two more delightful bedrooms set into the eaves – a twin bedroom and a single – and there is also a useful, separate WC and wash basin.
Outside at the rear of the cottage, shallow steps lead to a seating area in the patio-style garden with garden furniture where you can enjoy al fresco dining and drinks.
