Looe’s charming cobbled streets are home to an array of independent shops, boutiques, and eateries, all leading to the bustling quayside where fishing remains a thriving industry year-round. The town, split by the river Looe, offers a quieter experience in West Looe, accessible via a seven-arched bridge or a popular foot ferry. From here, embark on a scenic 5.5-mile walk along the South West Coast Path to the picturesque village of Polperro, once notorious for smuggling. Along the way, explore the two beaches and numerous rock pools of Talland Bay at low tide. For those seeking sun and sand, East Looe's main beach offers gentle slopes and is a favourite sunbathing spot. Enjoy glass-bottomed boat excursions or mackerel fishing trips to discover more of the coastline. Learn about the marine nature reserve of St George’s Island on a Cornwall Wildlife Trust boat trip. Don't miss The Old Sardine Factory and Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary for a holiday full of variety.

Step off the streets of Looe and into the cottage. Once through the front door, you’ll find yourself in the cosy and comfortable lounge/kitchen/diner which is very well-equipped with all required for a comfortable stay. This cosy room offers a view out onto the town where you are able to people watch to your hearts content. Upstairs, via the steep cottage staircase and onto the first floor which comprises a twin bedroom with views out to sea and the streets below. There is also a family shower room on this floor. Moving up to the top floor is another bedroom with a king-size bed and concealed wardrobe, again with great views across to the sea.

There is no outside space, however the beach is a few yards from your front door which is a real treat.

Its decorated nicely and has lots of promise but its too squashed and lacking sofa / washing machine and some basic equipment. There was no sitting area to relax. There was a dining table with shallow benches and fold out chairs. Fine for dining but not for relaxing in any way. The cottage itself is very small. Theres very little space and Read moresteep narrow staircases. It would be a lovely spot for two people if one bedroom was made into a sitting room. But for four people - of which one of ours was a 3yr old - it was far too cramped. There were minimal supplies - salt pepper and vinegar only. One bin bag. The location is good and central. That was the biggest positive. Hide
