This three-storey, mid-terrace cottage enjoys fabulous views of the harbour and beach in the much-loved village of Craster. This is one of the original fisherman’s cottages located on the harbour front, lovingly restored by the family who has been its custodian for over one hundred years, and with just the right number of modern touches and a wonderfully tranquil ambience to help you relax and enjoy a memorable holiday. From the private parking area behind the cottage, walk through the rear garden and down six stone steps to the back door. Enter the cottage via the utility/boot room where you can store your outdoor clothing and walking boots. This room also houses the washing machine and the fridge/freezer. A glazed door leads to the compact kitchen with everything you need to make your meals including, an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a dishwasher. A step down takes you to the separate dining room with a large pantry-style cupboard, full of crockery and everything you need to cook and lay the table for a convivial family meal. After dinner, head into the light and airy lounge to relax on comfortable seating with a Smart TV for entertainment. The lounge window has plantation-style shutters on the window and a lovely view of the harbour. From the lounge head into the hallway where you will find the front door and access directly to the harbour. Upstairs on the first floor are two well-presented double bedrooms, each with plenty of storage space. One overlooks the tranquil rear garden, and the other larger bedroom has a wonderful sea view, a dressing table and a hairdryer. The family bathroom is also on this floor comprising a shower and WC. On the second floor, you will find the light and lovely twin bedroom set into the eaves with a superb view of the harbour, beach, and sea beyond. Most rooms have a thermostat to control the heating to your personal preference.

Outside, at the front, opposite the cottage's front door and across the harbour road, a gate and six sleeper-style steps lead to the enclosed, terraced garden where you can sit and enjoy the fabulous view of the harbour and coast. A large bench seat on the first level is perfect for your morning coffee, and a garden table and seating on the lower level make a lovely spot for alfresco dining. A beautiful cosy cottage in a stunning location overlooking the harbour. You really would never get tired of that view! The bedrooms, particularly, are beautifully furnished with very comfortable beds, with two of them enjoying that lovely harbour view. We were lucky enough to get some good weather and so were able to enjoy the pretty little gardenRead more across the road - the perfect spot for a coffee, while watching the comings and goings in the harbour. Being located right on the path that leads to Dunstanburgh Castle was amazing and felt like a huge privilege - a great walk to blow the cobwebs away and we even saw dolphins on one occasion. All in all a great holiday in a home away from home which we hope to return to one day. Hide
