The property is nestled under the Purbeck hills and set within the grounds of a stately home that boasts views across a private historic church. Though walks on the grounds are limited, the South Coast Path is less than 4 miles away, offering access to stunning sites such as Kimmeridge Bay, Lulworth Cove, and Durdle Door (both 6.9 miles). The charming market town of Wareham is just 3.5 miles away, where you can explore boutique shops, restaurants, and pubs, and enjoy a pleasure boat trip down the River Frome into Poole Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world. Corfe Castle, dating back to 1066, is within 4 miles, providing a day of exploration and breath-taking views of the Purbeck Hills. Further afield, the seaside town of Swanage is within 9 miles, featuring award-winning beaches, local shops, and restaurants.

It’s a wonderful spot for couples to escape, relax, and enjoy the countryside. Kick off your muddy boots at the door and step inside the open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner. The sofa in the living room can be converted to a double bed if required for alternative sleeping arrangements or an extra guest. When the day is done, climb the curved staircase to the first floor, where a cosy bedroom with a Juliette balcony awaits, offering stunning views of the ancient church, woods, and farmland. The bedroom is complemented by an en-suite shower room.

Absolutely fabulous. Everything you need for a great short break. The silo sits at the entrance to grange farm with great views. From there you are perfectly positioned to get to around the Purbeck area. Plenty of national trust sites within a few miles. We may be the first to review The Grain Silo as its fairly new, so hopefully many more reviews to come we just had the most incredible 4 days staying in this haven of tranquility and it ticked every single box. We love this area of Dorset and try to find quirky places to stay. We initially looked for somewhere with a sea view, which this doesnt quiRead morete have but its so near the coast anyway and the views were drop dead gorgeous, we made the right choice. The Silo itself is an architectural success and its amazing how light and airy it is inside and how much space there is!! The living area and kitchen really do work well and the bedroom is fantastic with the ceiling reaching up to the full height of the silo, a lovely domed feature. With the balcony door open, its a stunning place to be, just listening to nature and even more of that view. Wow! The photos dont do it justice, sat having a glass of something or reading a book, looking across a paddock with horses gently grazing in front of you, the field disappearing away to woodland below and the Dorset countryside reaching out far into the distance. At the top of the slope a stunning church and to the left farm outbuildings / equestrian centre that look just right with the trees sloping away up the hill behind. One of the most peaceful places weve visited and theres an array of wildlife all around, from all the birds flitting about, housemartins flying right up to the balcony window, owls hooting as dusk falls and deer seemingly everywhere!! We would not hesitate to recommend / return. Andy and Shelley have clearly sunk a lot of time and effort into getting the conversion to the brilliant standard it is. They were close by if anything was needed but very relaxed and just left us to enjoy our stay. Thanks again for a wonderful break and keep up the good work, youve already achieved great things here and we hope more to come!! Hide

Had such a lovely time, hosts were lovely but not imposing which was nice. Loved the horses right outside & visits from the dogs was very welcome. The Silo is beautiful & nicely decorated, modern but cosy. Views were amazing. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved staying at this property. It was beautifully quiet and in an amazing rural setting but perfectly located for visiting the beach and local towns and villages. The Grain Silo was clean and comfortable; a real home from home and a lovely place to come back to after a day out. The weather was hot when we visited but we could imagineRead more this would also be a cosy hideaway in Winter. Hide
