Set in a friendly 180-acre country park with its own scenic 18-hole golf course with walks and cycle routes, an enclosed dog park, a children’s play area and a tennis court from the doorstep. Guests are welcome to play golf as often as they wish, and you will see deer and an array of birdlife during your stay. The pub/restaurant offers live music most weekends, and there is a renowned pub nearby in Newton-on-the-Moor (1.5 miles). The village café serves great coffee and food and has a large children’s play area (0.5 miles). Visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens, (9 miles), Warkworth Castle, river walks and beach (8.5 miles) and Alnmouth’s stunning beach and golf course (9 miles). Discover Amble’s marina and circular pier (9 miles) and enjoy tasty seafood in Craster (14 miles). Head for the Simonside Hills and Cragside House and Gardens in Rothbury (12 miles).

This spacious lodge has high ceilings and luxury vinyl flooring in all the main areas. Walk up four steps to the lodge’s front door and enter the hallway where you can store your coats and walking boots. Head into the light and airy open-plan living space where you will find comfortable seating so everyone can relax and unwind. There is a Smart TV with both a Netflix and Prime account, so you have plenty of family entertainment in the evenings and the French doors open onto the balcony. Just off the lounge is a dining table and seating for four in front of a second set of French doors where you can sit together at mealtimes and open the doors for outside/inside living in the warmer months. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to create your meals and drinks and there is a washing machine should you need it. The two attractive bedrooms are off the hallway. There is a double bedroom with a dressing table, a hairdryer and plenty of storage space. This bedroom has ‘Jack and Jill’ access to the family bathroom which comprises a shower over the bath and WC. The bathroom can also be accessed from the hallway, as can the additional, contemporary WC. The generous second bedroom completes the accommodation with twin beds and open hanging space.

Outside, there is a wrap-around balcony with a seating area which overlooks a duck pond with views of the woodland beyond. There are two sets of seating where you can sit with a drink at sunrise or sunset, dine alfresco and stargaze at night time. You have access to the golf course for evening strolls and you might see local deer and red squirrels scampering around at dusk. Private parking is available for two cars at this property.
