A lovingly restored cottage, uniquely furnished with inspirations from Morocco and India. It offers a delightful blend of exotic and cosy! Nestled in the tranquil part of the popular village of Long Bennington, peaceful but brimming with amenities and landscaped gardens, perfect for dog walks or a scenic picnic. A short drive away is the picturesque market town of Newark. The Air Museum (9 miles), located on a former World War II airfield, boasts an extensive collection of aircraft, vintage models to modern jets, offering a fascinating dive into aviation history. For water enthusiasts, Newark Marina is a bustling hub along the River Trent. This attractive setting is ideal for boating enthusiasts and a variety of water-based activities (7.5 miles) Belvoir water is a great place to relax and fish (3 miles) ). A visit to historical Lincoln City (20 miles) dominated by the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral, the city is rich with history and culture. The cobbled streets are lined with charming shops, cafes, and traditional pubs.

As you enter the cottage you are warmly greeted by the inviting dining area and snug lounge with a wood burner. Uniquely designed, decorated and furnished by the sculptor Roger and fashion designer Carole Lee you can be sure to be surrounded by unusual artefacts and exotic fabrics. The dining room, seating eight, takes centre stage with its quirky gold chairs and feature fireplace, creating a perfect setting for memorable meals. The newly fitted kitchen is a harmonious blend of modern and rustic charm, featuring aged Spanish tiles and exposed brickwork. It has everything you need to rustle up a family feast. The cosy sitting room is marked by the original low doorframe with an Indian door pelmet, (to warn you duck if you are tall!) This room boasts ancient stone walls, beams, a wood burner and plenty of sofas and chairs to watch your favourite films. From here, you'll discover the versatile ground floor bedroom, known as The Study, which features zip-link beds typically arranged as sofas, creating an extra lounge. These beds can be converted to a king-size bed upon request, providing an incredibly comfortable night's sleep! A downstairs shower room, conveniently accessed through the kitchen, makes this perfect for anyone not wanting to climb the stairs. Upstairs, three beautifully decorated bedrooms await. Each features a king-size zip-and-link bed that can be converted to two singles, catering to any setup. Bedroom Number 1 has an en-suite shower room with basin and WC. The second bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a mini bath, great for bathing the children. This bedroom can share this facility. Each bedroom is decorated in a Moroccan style, equipped with elegant furnishings such as lamps, mirrors, bedside and dressing tables.

Heading outside, the long drive leads to the sunny porch. We can accommodate up to 4 cars and there is free parking on the road. The gate can be closed if you have dogs or small children. The front garden is kept as a meadow to encourage birds and butterflies. From the kitchen door you’ll find a private enclosed lawn garden surrounded by trees and shrubs and beyond the fence is a view of the orchard, a haven for wildlife. You can hear the owls at dusk and in summer you might be lucky enough to see the bats! Make the most of the BBQ. And it’s a great place to soak up the sun.
