Offering splendid views of Cardigan Bay, this beautifully styled and open-aspect home offers memorable accommodation to families and groups of friends with one dog in tow. The host village of Gwbert is known for its seaside beauty, offering days of coastal adventure. For a day of indulgence, head to The Cliff Hotel (350 metres) to make full use of its impressive spa and scenic 9-hole golf course. Across the Afon Teifi you’ll see the beautiful Poppit Sands Beach (6.5 miles) where you can also discover the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. The path offers a unique way of visiting a range of golden beaches all with 14 miles, including Aberporth, Tresaith, and Newport. For a taste of local life, head to the bustling market town of Cardigan (3.5 miles) where another golf club awaits as well as weekly farmer’s markets, pubs and restaurants, independent shops and the famous Cardigan Castle.

This delightful house has been furnished to a high standard, with a personal touch to all the fittings and decor. Step inside to kick off muddy walking boots in the hallway, then walk through to the open-plan kitchen/diner. Here, find all the space and equipment needed to cook up holiday feasts for the group, who can gather at the long dining table to enjoy the chef’s work. This space also includes a comfortable seating area to keep the cook company, as well as a nearby utility room with a washer/dryer and WC. After dinner, move through to the social heart of the home, the fantastic lounge with its chic decor, potted plants and wonderful sea views through the bi-fold doors across to Cardigan Island. Throw open the doors to let the seaside air flow in, settle in the sumptuous seating and flick on the Smart TV for a relaxing evening together. When eyelids begin to feel heavy, you’ll have three splendid bedrooms to choose from. The first is on the ground floor, boasting a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room and sea views. Upstairs, choose from a chic twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room, or the king-size bedroom with its feature window that reveals more sea views. A family bathroom completes the interior.

Outside, you’ll find plenty of space to unwind and make the most of the memorable ocean views. To the front, accessed through the lounge’s bi-fold doors, gather on the furnished deck area for evening tipples as little ones and pets play on the lawn ahead. At the rear of the cottage is a gravelled area with a picnic bench for al fresco meals together, as well as two peaceful lawned areas for garden games. Absolutely loved the location and aesthetics of the place. I would have been more happy if property was well dusted and no pet hair. Value for money could have been better.
