This expanse of dog-friendly, sandy beach is perfect for wind and kite surfing, rejuvenating walks and picnics in the dunes. On a clear day, you can see beyond Berwick to the Scottish Borders in the north and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne to the south. Golfers will love playing at picturesque Goswick Golf Club (2 miles), while walkers will love the coastal path from Cheswick to Berwick and beyond. Berwick-upon-Tweed is England’s northernmost town and is great for shopping, galleries and crafts. Walkers will enjoy the Lowry Trail and seeing around the many historic sites. Cross the causeway at low tide to spend time on the wonderful Holy Island (5 miles), discover the coastal paths, and explore Bamburgh Castle (14 miles).

Contemporary styling flows through this light and airy two-storey holiday home where some delightful and fun touches await. Step into the hallway where you can store your shoes, boots and coats. There is underfloor heating throughout the property, upstairs and downstairs, so you can relax knowing you will be warm and cosy in the cooler months. Head into the lounge with a Smart TV for entertainment and plenty of comfortable seating to relax on after your days exploring the area. The kitchen/diner provides a lovely social space with bi-folding doors opening onto the decking for inside/outside living in the warmer months. The well-equipped kitchen features quality appliances and work surfaces so the family cook can relax preparing tasty meals, including a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer and separate wine cooler, a five-ring induction hob, an eye-level electric oven and a built-in microwave. Bar stools at the kitchen island mean you can sit with a drink and chat while dinner is being prepared and then everyone can come together for sociable mealtimes at the dining table. The utility room with a door to the garden, is off the kitchen with a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a useful extra sink. The ground-floor family bedroom is perfect for children and comprises two double beds with a single bunk over each for two additional child guests. This bedroom has a Smart TV and a PlayStation so kids can head in here if they want to escape the adults for a while. There is also a downstairs WC. Upstairs you will find that each of the three well-presented bedrooms is furnished with a super-king-size bed, plenty of storage space and a Smart TV. One of the bedrooms upstairs has a gorgeous en-suite shower room with a shower and an illuminated anti-fog mirror. The family bathroom comprises a luxurious, free-standing bath with a hand-held shower attachment where you can look up through the Velux-style windows and see the night sky and a separate walk-in shower. The illuminated anti-fog mirror has a Bluetooth connection so you can listen to your music while relaxing in the bath. On the landing, there is a small chaise longue and a fantastic arcade-style games console featuring popular family favourites like Pac-Man and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Outside, to the rear and accessible via bi-folding doors from the kitchen is a raised decked area with garden furniture, perfect for your morning coffee, and for family dining alfresco.
