This appealing cottage is an ideal base for families or friends to explore the delights of north Norfolk’s coast, with its sandy beaches and pretty villages. Sedgeford has a friendly pub within a 0.25 miles and from the village outskirts keen walkers can hike the ancient Peddars Way to the sea and coastal path. Less than 4 miles away you’ll find the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton, with its shops, glorious golden beach, and promenade. The village of Heacham (3 miles) is home to the renowned Norfolk Lavender where you can drink in the sight and aroma of more than 50 varieties grown in the magnificent gardens. Or visit the famous historic houses of Houghton Hall (10 miles) and the Queen’s retreat at Sandringham (8 miles).
The cottage, built in 1880, retains many period features in the open plan sitting and dining room, including plank doors and a hidden staircase to the first floor. Simple but stylish furnishing, with a comfortable sofa and chairs, plus wood burner and smart TV, enhances the welcoming atmosphere. A barn door in the pretty kitchen opens on to the garden. Head up the Norfolk winder steep stairs to find two bedrooms, one double and one twin. Both are in cottage style, in contrast to the streamlined bathroom.
Roses round the door and a patio with table and seating make the sheltered garden a perfect spot to relax in the sun.
