Surrounded by the verdant beauty of rural Worcestershire, this garden cottage for two is in a walker’s paradise. The quaint village of Sedgeberrow is calm and quiet, with a pub and restaurant just over the road (less than 100 metres) to reward yourselves after a long day exploring the area. Reach the fabulous Cotswolds village of Stanton in just 5 miles. From here, venture along the Cotswold Way, a 102-mile-long walking trail that shows off the splendour of the area. For those who prefer to explore in comfort, head to Winchcombe (7 miles) for a ride on the mighty Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway – it’ll show off the area whilst hurtling you towards Broadway (6 miles) or Cheltenham Racecourse (11 miles). The racecourse itself is an excellent day out, followed by dinner and a stroll through Cheltenham town centre (14 miles).
This cottage offers charming features throughout and is laid out over two storeys. Enter the open-plan living space where cushy seating surrounds a Smart TV and an authentic wood burner, all-in-all creating the cosiest atmosphere for evenings when it’s cold outside. The kitchen is on the other side of the room, ready for all your culinary skills to be put to the test, and there’s a neat little dining table for two also tucked away. Downstairs, you’ll also find a charming shower room for freshening up. Moving on up to the first floor, the king-size bedroom is located up a single flight of stairs. Tucked under the rafters, this room does have low, sloping ceilings, with original wooden beams and skylights adding to the overall character. A built-in wardrobe and a dressing table make this a great spot for getting ready for date nights.
Make the most of the beautiful outdoor space with a morning coffee or a sundowner, sipping a drink either on the balcony or in the garden. The balcony is an elevated, enclosed space with views of the garden and the mill pond, whilst the garden space invites evenings outside with seating.
