Pendle Hill (23 miles) is a particular highlight, offering spectacular views across Ribble Valley and even as far as Blackpool on a clear day. Further afield, outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy excursions to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales (both within 30 miles). Step back in time on a visit to the unspoilt villages of Downham (20 miles) and Slaidburn (18 miles), or head into the city of Preston (13 miles) where you’ll find shops, restaurants, museums, and a bustling waterfront. The cottage is also within easy reach of the Lancashire coast, including the seaside town of Cleveleys (20 miles) and the sweeping sands of Morecambe Bay (17 miles).
