Situated in the peaceful surroundings of Cark-in-Cartmel, this cosy getaway offers an ideal escape for those craving a restful retreat. The village has two lovely traditional pubs serving some fine food and real ale, as well as some excellent shops for picking up the essentials, a bakery that also serves bespoke pizzas, and an award-winning fish and chip shop, along with chemist and Post office for all your needs. Just over half a mile from the property is the wonderfully historic Holker Hall, dating back to the 16th century, where you can enjoy the delightful gardens. Brookes garden centre is a short walk away and serves delicious meals throughout the day. Nearby is the picturesque village of Cartmel, where visitors can stroll through charming streets, taste the famous sticky toffee pudding and unwind in a variety of cosy pubs, Michelin-star adorned dining spots, and unique shops. It is also the home of the Cartmel Racecourse. The coastal village of Grange-over-Sands is only 3.5 miles away, offering a lovely promenade and various attractions easily accessed from Cark Train Station. With close links to the central lakes by car, bus or train, this makes the perfect base for uncovering the Lake District’s many treasures.

Outside, you can make the most of the sunshine on the enclosed rear patio, which benefits from ample seating to dine al-fresco with friends, and a private passageway perfect for bringing bikes back or returning from a dog walk. Parking can be found off road in many places close to the cottage, and additional spaces can be used in the train station car park opposite, free of charge.
