Bring together friends and family for a memorable getaway in this stunning holiday retreat on the outskirts of the East Sussex village of Peasmarsh. Sleeping up to eight guests, the accommodation is arranged across two gorgeous, converted farm buildings, set around a Mediterranean-style courtyard. The properties, which are located on a working farm, are in the stunning High Weald National Landscape, and you’ll find scenic walks to explore nearby through ancient woodlands, along rivers, and across open fields. The picturesque medieval village of Rye is just 3 miles away, with its cobbled streets, historic buildings, and fine array of independent shops and eateries. You’ll also find further shopping and dining options in Tenterden (8.5 miles) and Hastings (14 miles). For a day at the beach, journey to the golden shores of Camber Sands, just 7 miles from the properties. Nearby attractions include Bodiam Castle (9 miles) and the National Trust’s Sissinghurst Castle Garden (14 miles), as well as numerous vineyards dotted throughout the surrounding countryside.

The holiday accommodation is set across two characterful buildings, on a working arable farm. Both properties have a beautiful blend of original features – such as exposed beams and brickwork – and contemporary decor and design. Leave coats and boots in the entrance hall of the first property, before moving through to the open-plan kitchen/diner, with its tiled floor, glossy units, and all the equipment needed to prepare delicious feasts for the group. Gather here for memorable mealtimes around the dining table, or enjoy an al fresco supper in the courtyard in summer months. Accessed via a couple of steps down, this floor also houses two elegant king-size bedrooms with views across the courtyard garden. Both bedrooms have their own en-suite shower rooms. Heading upstairs, discover the remaining king-size bedroom, which features a Bijou, free-standing bath in the room, as well as a handy en-suite WC. This bedroom is set in the eaves, and has restricted head height in some areas. Also on the first floor is a fabulous lounge with a vaulted ceiling and far-reaching countryside views. Relax here on the large plush corner sofa to watch the Smart TV, or snuggle up in the cute reading nook with your favourite book. Back outside, across the courtyard, you’ll find the second property which sleeps two guests. Inside, the single-storey holiday retreat has a bright, open-plan layout. The main living space is a vast lounge/kitchen/diner with a tiled floor, exposed beams, and a vaulted ceiling. Whip up hearty breakfasts in the stylish kitchen area, which you can share at the cute dining table. In the evenings, get cosy on the corner sofa in the lounge area to watch the Smart TV and plan the next day’s adventures. Along the corridor, an inviting king-size bedroom awaits with an en-suite shower room.

Outside, both properties have access to the very private Mediterranean-style walled courtyard garden. The walls are clad with Wisteria and climbing roses, the garden also features olive and lemon trees, a pretty pergola, and a choice of seating areas. Dine alfresco on one of the patios on a balmy, summer’s night, perhaps cooking some delicious local ingredients on the BBQ. Private parking is available for four cars.
