Just a moment’s walk from Laxfield’s famed village pub, this property offers a fantastic base for a restful Suffolk stay. Fill your days with walks, bike rides and endless sightseeing in this beautiful pocket of the East of England, exploring Framlingham (7.5 miles), Halesworth (9 miles) and all the rolling fields and verdant woodlands that surround them. One for a day trip, Framlingham is a sweet town filled with winding streets, a regular market and its hilltop castle – inspiration for Ed Sheeran’s hit song ‘Castle on the Hill’. Discover the Suffolk Coast National Landscape a short drive away, spending time birdwatching at RSPB Minsmere, sunbathing and swimming on Dunwich Beach (both 14 miles) or enjoying traditional seaside fare in the appealing town of Southwold (17.5 miles).
