A quintessential, Cornish cottage set in a peaceful location close to the village of Veryan on the Roseland Peninsula. The Roseland Peninsula is a pristine landscape of cliffs, creeks, woodlands, and beaches. Hidden coves and dog-friendly bays are waiting to be uncovered. The waters and skies teem with wildlife, adding to the area's charm. At the southernmost point of the peninsula lies St Anthony Head, overlooking Falmouth Harbour. The site offers sweeping panoramic views, including a stunning vista of the Carrick Roads. Within 10 miles is the harbour town of St Mawes where a foot ferry can be taken across the river to Falmouth. Garden enthusiasts will love visiting Lamorran Gardens – a subtropical, Italianate inspired garden and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, both found within 8.5 miles. The picturesque, fishing village of Mevagissey (7.5 miles) offers scenic harbour views and a good range of restaurant options.
After parking directly outside the cottage, enter around the back into the utility area with space for unloading coats and shoes. The utility room houses the washer/dryer and a door off leads to the ground floor cloakroom. Step through into the characterful kitchen with its feature fire, exposed stonework, slate flooring and beamed ceiling. Enjoy breakfast at the kitchen table whilst planning your holiday adventures. The thick walls and traditional cottage features are perfectly balanced with modern facilities and a sociable layout. There’s a spacious living/dining room with comfy armchairs and sofa to gather round the woodburning stove and cosy up to watch your favourite shows. A large table and chairs provide a more formal dining area or somewhere to play games from the selection provided. The book swap area allows you to exchange your book for another and the sun-room is a lovely space to relax curled up whilst you read. Upstairs are the two bedrooms. There’s a king bedroom with a curved, panelled ceiling and plenty of built-in cupboard space to utilise. This room looks out over pretty countryside. The twin bedroom is cosy and inviting and the modern, spacious bathroom sits at the end of the hallway.
The garden is primarily located at the rear of the cottage, although there is also an enclosed, front patio with seating, perfect for enjoying a peaceful coffee while soaking up the sun. The main, elevated terrace is designed to take full advantage of the evening sun and rural views, featuring a dining set for four and a charcoal barbecue for outdoor meals. Parking for two cars in tandem is found alongside the cottage where there is also a lockable bike store.
