Set in the heart of the Isle of Wight National Landscape, this quaint cottage for families and groups of friends offers the best of both worlds with its countryside and coastal surroundings. The host village of Brighstone is one of the island’s prettiest and most charming destinations, with rows of chocolate-box cottages, thatched homes and plenty of welcoming shops and places to eat and drink. For a local beach, Brighstone Bay is just 2 miles away, offering a long, curved, shingle shoreline. Known as the Isle of Wight’s Dinosaur Coast, the surrounding beaches and coastal trails here are perfect for fossil-hunters and outdoor explorers. Walkers will delight in the wealth of rural and seaside trails all around them – explore the country footpaths from the cottage or head just a mile to join the dramatic Isle of Wight Coast Path. Nearby popular destinations include Atherfield Bay, Blackgang, Ventnor, Shanklin and Sandown, all within 15 miles.

Admire the stone façade and climbing plants of this picturesque cottage before making your way inside. Quintessential farmhouse charm awaits in the country kitchen/diner, with painted fixtures and fittings, clean tiles and a sociable breakfast table set at the centre. Notice a small WC when you leave this room and the pleasant double bedroom on this floor. Take a couple of steps up to the lovely lounge area, with wooden floorboards, a handsome feature fireplace and a selection of comfy seating options. A Smart TV is on hand here for restful movie nights. Back into the hall and up the stairs, find two remaining bedrooms on the first floor. One is a lovely twin room and the other is a super-king-size with impressive country views and an en-suite bathroom. A well-appointed family shower room completes the interior.

Beautiful greenery awaits in the scenic garden, a private space that’s set to lawn with a patio area and outdoor furniture. Fire up the BBQ when the sun shines, enjoying slow afternoons and balmy evenings alfresco. Find private parking for one car, with additional street parking nearby, subject to availability.

Great location and the garden was beautiful. The house was very old and would appreciate some tlc, there is no parking unless youre in a micro car. The internet not strong enough to work from and only available in one room.
