You’ll be 2.5 miles from Ullswater, England's second-largest lake, where you can go walking and take a trip on a steamer. At one end is the charming village of Pooley Bridge (2.5 miles), steeped in history dating back to the 16th century. Venture further to Glenridding and Patterdale (11.5 miles) for scenic walks and breath-taking views. If you’re in the mood to go back in time, Lowther Castle (4.5 miles) is a must-see gem of the region, with its grand architecture and enchanting gardens. Or enjoy quiet mornings exploring local market towns like Penrith (3.5 miles). Keswick (19.5 miles) is a gorgeous spot, surrounded by dramatic peaks like Skiddaw and offering an array of outdoorsy adventures.

This atmospheric property has gorgeous rustic features like original wooden beams, sandstone flooring and original stones walls painted in brilliant white. You’ll enter through the side door straight into the well-equipped kitchen, which has lovely blue units and a breakfast bar. Straight ahead is a bathroom with a shower over a small bath and WC. The cosy lounge, adjacent to the kitchen, features a wood burner, cosy corner sofa and Smart TV for relaxed evenings in. Gather for meals in the charming dining room, with its wooden table and exposed stone feature fireplace. To reach the upper floor, you’ll go up a large step leading to steep spiral cottage stairs. Here, you’ll find three beautifully finished bedrooms: two doubles and a twin room.
