The riverside at Iken is something special, at low tide sandy shores are exposed and are perfect for paddling, sandcastle buildings, and picnics whilst seal-spotting! For walkers, there are endless footpaths to explore (including the gorgeous circular riverside walk which will take you past Iken Church and to Snape Maltings). For the cyclists, tracks and quiet roads in this picturesque area, and there’s secure bike storage at the property too. The historic village of Snape is just 2 miles and has several good pubs offering bar meals. Snape Maltings is a popular destination, with shops and galleries showcasing local craft and produce, cafes and restaurants, and a strikingly beautiful concert hall. If the river is tempting you in, head for Iken Canoe – its less than 0.5 miles from the property, where you can rent a Canadian canoe and paddle the peaceful stretch of water spotting riverside wildlife as you go.
