This sweet property is an ideal choice for a solo adventure or a couple’s getaway. Tucked in a quiet lane in the bustling centre of popular St Ives, it’s the perfect spot for a break by the sea. You’ll be pretty much halfway between two incredible beaches, Harbour and Porthmeor, with the town’s three other beaches – and of course the coastal path – just moments away. On your doorstep, you’ll find a variety of places to eat and drink from seafood restaurants to stylish bars, as well as art galleries and irresistible independent shops. Breathe in the sights and sounds of this iconic seaside town, where there’s so much to do you could easily spend a week without venturing anywhere else. If you decide to explore further afield, iconic St Michael’s Mount and the vibrant market town of Penzance are both 9 miles away, and must-see Land’s End is 18 miles away. If you fancy a lovely walk to explore along the coast, take the South West Coast Path to the beaches of Carbis Bay and Hayle where you can learn to surf, SUP, grab lunch or just laze on the golden sands. Hayle beach was voted the UK's best beach in 2024.
You’ll reach your unique little escape via a pedestrian lane and step straight into the open-plan living space, with a mosaic-tiled floor, rugged painted-stone wall and timber cladding. A fabulous, large chandelier illuminates this quirky space, where display shelving features both art and enamel kitchenware. Whether you want to cook a hearty breakfast or a quick supper, there’s a compact kitchen area and a delightful wooden perch by the sink with two stools. At the end of the day, sink into the corner sofa at the far end of the room and relax with a movie on the Smart TV. Take refreshing showers in the wet room, which is accessed via a small set of very steep and narrow stairs. From this area, there’s another set of four wooden steps – again, very narrow and steep – that lead to the cabin-style bed (with very limited head space), on a mezzanine overlooking the kitchen area.
Although there’s no private outdoor space for this lovely cottage, relish the sights and sounds of glorious St Ives on your doorstep; wander to Trewyn Gardens with an immaculate lawn and shady trees. Parking is available in public car parks.
