Explore the glorious Peak District National Park from the comfort of this cosy property, which sleeps four guests. Just 2 miles from the picturesque village of Matlock Bath on the edge of the National Park, this sweet cottage is ideally placed for a small family or friends sharing. Discover a wealth of attractions nearby, among them wonderful walking trails, pretty villages and a famous stately home. Lively Matlock Bath and neighbouring Matlock (1.5 miles) both have a good range of small, independent shops, plus a host of cafes and restaurants. Stroll along the River Derwent in Matlock Bath and take a cable car ride up to the Heights of Abraham, a hilltop estate with splendid views and tours of hidden caverns. Discover the historic Cromford Mills (3 miles), the birthplace of the modern factory system and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The magnificent Chatsworth House and medieval manor, Haddon Hall, are both within 10 miles.

A short flight of steps leads up to the front door and porch, where you can dump muddy boots and coats before entering the lounge. This light and bright room enjoys rural views across the rolling hills, an elegant leather Chesterfield suite, and a warming wood burner set in a feature stone hearth. Leading off the inviting living space is the pretty kitchen, with a wood-burner-effect electric fire and all the equipment you need to rustle up tasty meals. From here, a door leads into the delightful rear dining area with a country-style wooden table and chairs overlooking the courtyard garden. Stairs from the kitchen lead up to a sleek shower room and two gorgeous double bedrooms. Both rooms have been thoughtfully decorated to blend the traditional style with modern touches.

Outside, enjoy a quiet moment in the enclosed courtyard, with outdoor furniture and greenery. Alternatively, drink in the view from the seating area in the small front garden. On-street parking is available at the front of the property.
