Verdant beauty surrounds this incredible cottage on the Trevadlock Manor estate, a perfect destination for getaways, just a mile from the outskirts of Bodmin Moor and within easy reach of Cornwall’s north and south coastlines. The utterly inviting holiday home is situated on the banks of the River Lynher and offers quiet country roads and waymarked walking routes into the depths of the Cornish countryside, including up to Bodmin’s Nine Stones Stone Circle, which is around 3 miles away. Discover the area on foot, by bike, or even on horseback via a local equestrian centre, 7 miles away. It wouldn’t be a trip to Cornwall without a beach day, and from here, you can access Trebarwith (16.5 miles), Bude (25 miles), or Looe (21 miles) on the south coast. Take surfing lessons at Polzeath (31 miles) or simply enjoy a sightseeing-packed walk along the South West Coast Path on either side of the county.
Overflowing with character, this barn conversion features original design elements and exposed stonework, yet has been thoughtfully updated to create a comfortable home-from-home for all who stay here. Head up the external staircase and onto the unique wooden balcony to step inside. The open-plan living area is bright and inviting, complete with a lounge, kitchen, and dining area, neatly presented as one, with cosy seating options and everything you could possibly need throughout your stay. An interlinking door leads to the neighbouring property, ideal when staying as a larger group, yet it is soundproofed when not in use. Two lovely bedrooms sit downstairs beside a pretty shower room. The larger of the two is a double, whilst the smaller is a cosy twin.
You’ll have noticed the impeccable view from the balcony on arrival, along with the outdoor seating options that allow you to sit here and sip a morning or evening drink. At the bottom of the staircase, a grassy lawn provides more space for children to play when the sun shines. Guests also have access to a shared games room and fenced communal orchard where dogs can play. Through the gate in the orchard you will have the freedom to explore the additional 20 acres leading down to the river Lynher. The cottage has ample private parking.
