Whether you’re a couple looking for a coastal escape or a family wanting to spend every day on the beach, this chic property has got you covered. Part of a small holiday resort, it’s set above the south-facing Millendreath Beach, at the foot of a wooded valley. The scenery is stunning, and at low tide there’s a sandy beach and rock pools to explore. Take advantage of the on-site cafe and beach bar, as well as the beach club that hires equipment (opening times may vary). Stroll a mile or so on the coast path – there are some hills – and you’ll reach Looe, with its maze of streets, picturesque harbour and excellent beaches. Children will love a day trip to Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary (2 miles), while adventure lovers will want to try Adrenalin Quarry (6 miles).

This stylish property is bright and airy, thanks to plenty of glazing and a coordinating decor of pale tones and wooden floors. In the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a well-appointed kitchen runs along one of the walls, crafted to a high standard and including everything necessary for creative holiday cooking. There’s a breakfast bar with high, upholstered seats for four people to sit together and enjoy delicious meals. When you’re ready to relax, the comfortable seating is just the place to snuggle down and watch a favourite movie on the Smart TV – perhaps with the additional warmth of the pebble-effect electric fire. In the summer, you can open the patio doors and appreciate that indoor/outdoor feeling. The double bedroom is flooded with light thanks to a floor-to-ceiling window that frames views over the garden to the sea in the distance. There’s also a compact twin bedroom, and a well-equipped family shower room.

Outside, to the front of the property, is an enclosed, lawned garden which is equipped with a picnic table ready for you to sip a morning coffee, pour a sundowner or dine alfresco as you soak in the views. Guests benefit from ample private parking – using the on-site car park with a weekly charge of £20 per car.
