For a seaside holiday with family or friends (plus a canine companion), this bright and appealing holiday escape is an ideal choice. Set on a hill on the outskirts of the harbour town of Burry Port, it’s less than a mile from a range of shops and places to eat, and only a little further to a long, sandy beach that’s great for dogs and offers water sports from the marina. Visit Pembrey Country Park (3.5 miles) with its peaceful woodland trails as well as an adventure playground, crazy golf, Wales’ longest toboggan run and a dry ski/snowboarding slope. At the southern edge of the country park is an 8-mile beach, popular with sunbathers, swimmers and walkers. In Llanelli, 5 miles away, you’ll find numerous art galleries and craft shops, as well as a bustling town centre with a covered market and a host of eateries.
Climb the three steps up to the front door of this end-of-terrace property and stroll into the bright and welcoming lounge/diner. This vibrant space offers a choice of plush seating in which to relax, as well as a Smart TV for you to set up a movie night or catch up with a favourite series. The dining table in the window is a great place to linger over a meal, set up a board game or sip a morning coffee as you watch the world go by. For anyone who wants a quiet moment, there’s also a separate snug, perfect for getting lost in a good book. In the well-equipped kitchen, you’ll find everything you’ll need to make holiday cooking quick and easy. Head upstairs to find the three bedrooms, including the king-size room which has expansive sea views over to Gower. There’s also an airy double bedroom and a sweet single. The three bedrooms share a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
From the kitchen, step out into the side courtyard with your morning coffee to enjoy the early sunshine and appreciate the lovely view. From here, steep stone steps (with a handrail and lighting) lead up to a large, decked area with a table and chairs for al fresco dining, and then up again to a further, smaller area with chairs for sitting back and enjoying the quiet seclusion. There is parking for one car right outside the property, although drivers of larger vehicles may find it hard to access, in which case there is further parking available a short distance away.
