Escape with your loved one at this beautifully converted stable building sitting in the outskirts of the town of Battle in the heart of 1066 Country. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, this is a perfect accommodation choice for small families, couples or friends in search of a stylish bolthole to call home while they explore the coastal landscapes and fascinating history of East Sussex together. During the day, take a stroll through Battle (0.5 miles) and learn all about the Battle of Hastings. Take a little time out to admire Battle Abbey, which was built by William the Conqueror, and then head into a cosy tea room and treat yourself to something sweet.
In the evening, come home to your cottage to relax with something cool and crisp by the wood burner in the elegant lounge area. Park in the parking area (there’s room for two cars) and step inside the stable. You’ll find a wonderfully light and bright open-plan living/kitchen/dining area, which showcases an impressive pitched ceiling (with skylights) and a wood burner with a tall black chimney pipe – all of which adds a touch of rustic warmth to the lovely space. The kitchen seamlessly flows into the living and dining areas, making the space feel large and spacious. Also on the ground floor, you’ll also find the first bedroom, which boasts an elegant king-size bed. Completing the ground floor layout, you’ll discover a stylish family bathroom with a shower over the bath, as well as a wet room-style shower. Head upstairs and you’ll find a convenient attic-style bedroom which has twin beds – if you have the kids with you, they’ll love it.
A lovely patio wraps around the house, complete with two seating areas. You’ll also have access to spacious shared gardens that boast gorgeous views over Battle towards the sea
