Ideally placed for exploring the natural beauty of the Moray Firth and Highlands, this charming coastal cottage is perfect for a memory-making family break or an adventurous getaway with friends. Situated on the south coast of the Black Isle, the conservation village of Avoch is steeped in history and full of character, famed for its long fishing heritage and dolphin spotting from Chanonry Point just 2 miles from the property. Keen walkers can enjoy many wonderful walks in and around the village, along the old railway line path to Fortrose (2.5 miles) and Ormond Hill on the headland (1 mile), the site of the ancient Ormond Castle. On the outskirts of Avoch, the Rosehaugh Estate, 1.5 miles away, offers excellent walks through mature woodland with stunning views to discover. One of the region's landmarks, explore the Fairy Glen Falls at nearby Rosemarkie, 3.5 miles away, home to two babbling waterfalls and a wonderful forest walk. Enjoying stunning sea views and featuring a roaring wood burner, the cosy lounge boasts a wonderfully warm ambience that perfectly reflects the peace and serenity of your surrounding coastal landscape.
Combining sleek contemporary design with rustic, exposed brickwork, the spacious kitchen/diner will capture your imagination, inspiring you to get creative with your cooking. The contemporary family bathroom on this level exudes elegance. The tranquil king-size bedroom shares the same charm and character as the rest of the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find another king-size bedroom and a double bedroom. Due to the traditional nature of this cottage, there are sloping ceilings in both of the upstairs bedrooms.
This entire retreat is adorned with lovely nautical touches that celebrate the beauty of the Black Isle. From sunrise to sunset, the large, enclosed garden, featuring a delightful lawn, provides the perfect peaceful spot to sit back and relax. Outside, you’ll also find private parking for three cars. Please note that there is an access road running along the front of the property between the cottage and the private parking opposite, next to the beach, so care should be taken to check for vehicles or cyclists before stepping outside.
