Walkers will love the 3-mile stroll to the iconic 1908 Strumble Head Lighthouse, perched on its own little island, where you might even spot seals’ heads bobbing up near the shore. Beach lovers are spoiled for choice, with Abermawr (3.5 miles) offering a remote, pebbled stretch backed by earthy cliffs. Or take a short drive to Pwllgwaelod (9.5 miles), a small sandy cove with stunning views across to Fishguard Harbour.

All the linen and towels in the property are organic, in keeping with the eco-friendly ethos.
Outside, a gravel courtyard terrace with a picnic bench rounds things off nicely for al fresco dining in the fresh country air. While dogs must be kept on a lead around the property, there are acres of meadows and woodland to explore, offering plenty of space for walks. You’re also free to explore the land of the former Llandruidion Farm, where friendly resident animals await. Private parking is available for two cars.
