Set in the popular seaside town of Aldeburgh, this stylish and comfortable cottage is perfect for a traditional family getaway or holiday with friends on the Suffolk coast. Stroll half a mile to the shingle beach, where the local fishermen still pull up in their colourful boats to sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The town’s wide, Georgian-style high street features several attractive buildings, with the seafront properties all offering commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary (4.7 miles), where you’ll see a variety of yachts on summer weekends. If you enjoy classical music, the acclaimed Aldeburgh Music Festival takes place at Snape Maltings (5.5 miles) every June.

The bright and welcoming sitting room is a lovely space to relax after a day spent by the sea. It features comfortable seating and a TV and DVD player, making it the perfect spot for a movie night. There’s even a Nintendo Wii console if you’re feeling competitive! Otherwise, you can curl up by the flame-effect gas fire with a good book. Prepare a family feast in the kitchen, then sit in the social dining room. The ground-floor accommodation also includes a utility room with laundry facilities and a cloakroom. On the first floor, you'll find three comfortable bedrooms: one king-size, one double, and one room with two bunk beds. The bunk beds comprise one 4' double bed with a single bed above and a second single bunk bed. The bedrooms are served by a spacious bathroom with a roll-top bath, a large shower cubicle and a double vanity sink.

Outside, the property benefits from a small enclosed lawned garden at the front. To the rear, you’ll find a second, slightly bigger enclosed lawned garden with a patio area, garden furniture and table tennis facilities.

A lovely holiday property with the addition of two parking spaces making it ideal for visiting both Aldeburgh and the surrounding area. Well equipped, spacious property with extremely comfortable beds.

The property was very well equipped with everything you might need for a perfect holiday. The location was good, not too far from shops, the beach and the town centre. Despite the rain on a few occasions there were plenty of places to visit and the various beaches, especially Southwold, were great. We were a family of 4 with a 2years old and a Read moresmall dog and the property really suited us. The back garden was a bonus and once the grass had been mowed after we arrived it was a welcome space to sit and relax. Would definitely recommend to others. Hide
