This semi-detached dog friendly cottage was converted from a former stable building and adjoins the owner’s farmhouse. Just outside the small village of Penrhyn-coch and only 6 miles from the bustling seaside town of Aberystwyth and all its amenities, it is perfect for a family or group of friends who wish to explore the coast and countryside of West Wales. There is superb walking in the immediate area – Gogerddan Wood, for example, 0.5 miles away, has a 1.5-mile circular trail, through beautiful old trees, with lovely views – and the Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre, 9 miles, offers a wide range of waymarked trails for walkers, mountain bikers and runners, as well as a purpose-built mountain-biking track. There are sandy beaches at Aberystwyth and Borth (6 miles), while excellent golf includes the historic course at the Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club, 7 miles.

Brynmeurig can sleep up to 5 adults, 1 child and a toddler in 3 bedrooms.: 1 king size, 1 double and 1 single plus 2’6” ‘put-up’ bed. Make memorable moments with your family or friends whilst watching your favourite programmes on the Smart TV, blue ray player or enjoy listening to the radio/CD player. At one end of this welcoming room is a well-designed corner kitchen with hand-made oak cabinets with plenty of kitchen appliances, and a comfortable dining space by the window. The single bedroom (which can be set as a twin if you prefer, though no more than five adults are allowed in total) is also on this floor. On the ground floor you will find a king-size and a double bedroom, a separate shower room and a useful cloakroom.

There are lovely rural views from all around the cottage, with enclosed garden lawn, a picnic bench. There is a further patio at the rear has raised beds with flowers, garden furniture and a BBQ. There is a shed available for storing bikes and boots.

Beautiful cottage in amazing scenery. The cottage was immaculately clean with flowers, chocolates and wine on the table for our arrival. The safe, enclosed garden was perfect for our Labrador to explore. There was so much to see and do that we couldn't fit into our stay. We will definitely be returning to finish our exploring.
