There is superb walking in the immediate area – Gogerddan Wood, for example, 0.5 miles away, has a 1.5-mile circular trail, through beautiful old trees, with lovely views – and the Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre, 9 miles, offers a wide range of waymarked trails for walkers, mountain bikers and runners, as well as a purpose-built mountain-biking track. There are sandy beaches at Aberystwyth and Borth (6 miles), while excellent golf includes the historic course at the Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club, 7 miles.
