I would rate this property at the very low end of a 3 star rating. First impressions were of a lovely and very old little cottage with tons of original features as you would expect. But when you start looking it needs more love and care given to it.

Apple Tree cottage is set right in the heart of Westleton. 200 yard walk across the green to the White Horse. Great food and a proper local. About the same distance to the Westleton Crown..very good Sunday lunch. The cottage is small but very comfortable and well equipped. It has a beautiful secure rear garden and was a great base to visit Sutton Hoo, Framlingham and Southwold. We stayed for 4 nights. The cottage was is small but warm and cosy, just big enough for family of 4. Good base to explore the nearby cost and surrounding area. Very good location for bird watchers/walkers etc. The Crown offers good food and is only a brief walk away. Cottage is comfortable but could be a very tight fit for four people.

It was really easy to make the booking and the communication was excellent. We liked that cottage and it was just fine for what we were wanting and it met our expectations according to the description. Some more walking related information would have been good including circular walks of say 7 or 8 miles plus.

Apple Tree Cottage is ideal for a couple or a small family as it is well equipped and cosy. There are some great places to visit locally or within a short drive, Westleton Heath is beautiful. The two nearby pubs offer great food and a friendly atmosphere (including welcoming a dog!). We had a lovely relaxing stay at Apple Tree Cottage.

Fantastic location, great secure garden, lounge and bedrooms very comfortable. Our main issue was the general dustiness of the property (TV cabinet and DVD player covered in thick layer of dust), dust and fluff around the floor spaces, and kitchen utensils and cups requiring a good wash before use. The cooking equipment was very dated, especially tRead morehe frying pans which made cooking a little more challenging than it should be. Not ideal but the location of the property ensured we had a good holiday. Hide

Appletree cottage was warm and cozy during a very cold spell. Very well equipped, and a comfortable bed. The position is excellent for getting around in the vicinity, lots of great dog walks. A lovely garden for those warmer days. Praise to Suffolk secrets for sorting out an extended stay, that was hassle free for us.
