Situated by Whitby’s harbourside on one of the town’s most famous yards, this former fisherman’s cottage is a petite retreat by the seaside. All of Whitby’s famous attractions are within 1 mile, including the beach, the whalebone arch, the 199 steps and Whitby Abbey, and the many popular fish and chip shops. Further afield, you can walk the Cleveland Way National Trail to Robin Hood’s Bay along the heritage coast, or head inland to visit the North York Moors National Park.

Walk from the cobbled street, in through the pretty front door and into the kitchen/diner of this three-storey home. The kitchen has everything you need, and there is a dining table and chairs by a window offering lovely views. Head up a flight of stairs to the lounge, where there are comfortable sofas around a TV. Up another flight of stairs, you’ll find the twin bedroom and bathroom with a walk-in shower on the top floor.

There is no outside space at this property, but the harbourside is right outside your front door.

basic , but you got everything , kettle oven microwave , tv , location , you cant get any better but your only sleeping there excellent shower

Absolutely excellent cottage. Clean and tidy. Excellent views. Comfy beds . Shower a bit small but manageable. Stairs slight problem but knew that before booked .managed them in the end alright

The cottage was very small the stairs were very steep beds may be fine for some but we're way to hard for us so with that and the noise from the rowing club next door which went on til early hours we didn't get hardly any sleep for two nights so we came home we got there Saturday evening and left Monday evening I like Whitby but I would never stayRead more there again Hide

We had the most fabulous little break. This property has all its originality and quirkiness in keeping with its surroundings. The views are stunning too! We were extremely impressed at how the property held heat for its age and credit to the owner for keeping an older property so well serviced. The location of the cottage was lovely. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. It was really clean and lovely and warm. This is the forth time we have stayed here and have already booked a fifth Would recommend this cottage to people and its really good value for money.

very cosy old cottage in a very nice location with lovely harbour views, and very central to the old port of whitby, very well equipped and everything you need for your stay.

Comfortable cottage in historicyard we felt we were in the middle of Whitby life. Parking needed arranging and stairs quite steep, but then, in such a quirky and historic cottage one would expect. Equipped to a high standard in all parts.

The property was lovely, with a nice atmosphere, instantly welcoming and very good location. Very good standard of equipment particularly in the kitchen. It needs a refresh though, in terms of decor and furnishings, and probably the windows too.
