The picturesque village of Caersws is just 2 miles away on the banks of the River Severn, with a friendly pub, shop and art gallery, as well as a useful mainline railway station. The nearest main town is Newtown, 9 miles east, home to a golf course, leisure centre, small cinema, gallery and museum, as well as a range of great shops and places to eat and drink. Other attractions, all within 11 miles, include Dolforwyn Castle, Fishermans Walk and the Bryntail Lead Mine Buildings. The Shropshire Hills are just 15 miles east.
Entering this delightful property the spacious lounge has a TV, DVD player, wood burner effect electric fire and plenty of seating, making a lovely space for you all to snuggle up and relax in at the end of a memorable day. The property also has a charming kitchen/diner with plenty of equipment and a sociable dining space. The bedrooms are accessed via separate staircases. An open-tread wooden staircase leads from the lounge up to the cosy king-size bedroom. A steep paddle-tread staircase leads from the kitchen up to the small double bedroom. Both bedrooms have a TV and a refreshing en-suite shower room.
Heading outside, the cottage has a patio table and chairs offering views over the surrounding trees and hills. You will also have access to facilities on the owner’s small static caravan park, including extensive shared grounds and a games room with table tennis, a pool table and a selection of books and games. Coarse fishing for carp, tench and roach is also available in stocked pools on-site.
