This little wooden lodge is perfect for a couple’s escape in the Suffolk countryside. Set on extensive grounds shared with the owners who live in the adjacent property, this lodge offers peace and tranquillity. The lodge is on the edge of the hamlet of Tunstall Common, half a mile south of Tunstall on the margins of Tunstall Forest, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many country walks to enjoy from your doorstep leading you across rolling fields and along the Tunstall Forest trails. All sorts of wildlife dwell amongst the trees so if you are quiet, you’re quite likely to spy a wanderer or two in the garden. It is a peaceful location with gloriously dark skies and very little light pollution. Despite this rural setting, it is also only 6 miles from the Suffolk Heritage Coast where visitors will find sandy beaches, picturesque seaside towns and miles of beautiful walking trails. There’s a wealth of things to see and do in the area, including visiting the impressive Framlingham Castle, 9.5 miles away or the important Anglo-Saxon burial ground at Sutton Hoo, 7 miles away.
The lodge is set out all on one level with a bright open-plan living area taking centre stage. Vaulted ceilings give the room a sense of space and skylights allow for lots of natural light. There’s a compact kitchen area and a dining table along with a Smart TV and a comfortable sofa positioned in front of the French doors leading to the patio. The double bedroom is calm and serene, and the modern bathroom features a large walk-in shower and a WC.
Outside, guests will find a private patio area set with a table and chairs along with a charcoal BBQ. There are large gardens shared with the owners behind the lodge that guests are welcome to use.
