Book a cosy stay with family or friends at this cosy stone property located on the outskirts of Pickering, on the edge of the majestic North York Moors. You’ll be less than 1 mile from Pickering Castle as well as the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, where you can catch a steam train that’ll take you past the end of your garden. For some fresh-air therapy, walk or cycle through the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (10 miles) or make a beeline for the woody trails of North Riding Forest Park (7 miles).
You’ll enter the house into a well-equipped kitchen/diner with a table and chairs where you can enjoy leisurely meals during your stay. Also on the ground floor is a homely lounge with exposed ceiling beams and a fireplace containing a wood burner, along with sofas that are perfect for sinking into after a long day of exploring. From here, a carpeted flight of stairs leads to the first floor where you’ll find three cosy bedrooms – one king, one twin and one single, all of which have charming window seats. The house is decorated in a traditional style, in appealing neutral shades with cheerful pops of colour.
The good-sized garden has grass and a patio area with furniture where you can enjoy breakfast on a sunny morning while enjoying the surrounding greenery.
