The charming holiday cottage sits on the edge of the small seaside village of Abersoch, amongst three other cottages in the grounds of the owner’s farm. The property sleeps four guests and makes a fantastic base for a small family. A short 1-mile journey will bring you into the centre of the village, where you’ll find a great choice of restaurants, pubs, and cafes. The village has a sheltered beach that’s popular with families. There are some fantastic family-friendly activities within easy reach of Abersoch. Just 20 miles away is the harbour town of Porthmadog, where you can step back in time with a ride on one of the town’s heritage steam trains, taking you through spectacular mountain scenery. Glasfryn Parc Activity Centre (12 miles) is also a family favourite, where you can try a wide range of activities, including go-karting, archery, and paddleboarding.
A warm welcome awaits you in this beautiful stone cottage. Decorated in a traditional style, with a collection of antique pieces, the property has a relaxed and cosy feel. A spacious entrance hall, where you can store your outdoor gear, leads to an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with two plump sofas to relax on at the end of a busy day. Rustle up a tasty meal using local produce in the bright and airy kitchen area, to enjoy together around the elegant dining table. The first of the two bedrooms is a gorgeous double – again featuring antique furniture – which looks out across the gardens to the countryside beyond. The second bedroom is a cosy twin, with two antique chests and an occasional chair. Finally, a stylish family bathroom completes the property.
Patio doors lead from the kitchen area to the gravel patio with outdoor furniture. This is a peaceful spot to sit with a morning coffee, planning your day and listen to the local wildlife. A small step leads down to a shared lawn, where children can play, and you’ll also have access to the shared walled garden.
