Furnished to a high standard and well-equipped with ample space for up to up to seven guests, this is a lovely property in a fantastic location, close to everything Southwold has to offer, including the beach, pier, and common. Grab your shopping bags and head out to the marketplace, just over 150 metres from the front door to the excellent range of small shops, including a greengrocer, a family butcher, and a delicatessen. Wander to the Promenade (just over 300 metres) then keep walking to the harbour (1 mile away) where you can catch a ferry to Walberswick, a pretty village with unspoilt sand dunes on the gorgeous beach, and lots of places to enjoy a snack or meal out. Visit Southwold’s pier (0.5 miles from the property) with its arcade and 80’s retro games or pop to the museum to see the spectacular Alfred Corry Lifeboat (less than 500 metres from the house). Spend the day on Southwold’s second beach, the expansive sand and shingle of the Denes beach (0.5 miles), where it’s slightly more rugged and secluded than the beach in town and the perfect place to fly a kite or have a go at surfing, windsurfing or paddle boarding.
The pretty red brick cottage has a large, comfy sitting room with a huge TV and plenty of space for everyone to chill out, a galley kitchen with everything needed for cooking up delicious delights, and a dining room to enjoy them in. There’s also a bathroom with a bath and shower on the ground floor. Two of the lovely, bright bedrooms are on the first floor, a king and a single, as well as a handy shower room with another WC. There are two further bedrooms on the second floor, a double and one with bunkbeds, which is perfect for kids.
Through the stable door in the kitchen is a pretty, fenced courtyard garden at the rear of the house, that’s safe for dogs and children alike. With a charcoal BBQ and garden furniture for everyone it’s perfect for spending warm evenings dining al fresco.
