This cosy property is one of three holiday cottages set in the grounds of the owner’s 16th-century farmhouse and has far-reaching views down the Trannon Valley as well as a wealth of entertainment options for a rainy day. Trefeglwys, one mile away, has a pub serving food and the market town of Llanidloes, 4 miles north, has a wider choice of shops and supermarkets. The area is well-known for its walking routes and Llyn Clywedog reservoir, 10 miles away, offers sailing, birdwatching and fishing.
The property is at right angles to another holiday cottage facing in the opposite direction. The entrance hall features the original stone floor and the two bedrooms consist of a double with an en-suite bathroom and a twin room with zip-and-link beds that can be made into a super-king on request. There’s a separate shower room on this level too, along with a kitchen with a breakfast bar leading onto a utility room. The living area is on the first floor to make the most of the views and has an electric flame-effect stove to keep you cosy in winter and a small dining area with a table seating four. Sliding doors leads out onto a furnished balcony.
A patio area to the front of the property has garden furniture and a BBQ, as well as access to grounds and facilities shared with the other cottages. These include a games room with a pool table, air hockey and table tennis and an outdoor games area with a children’s play area, junior football pitch and full-sized tennis court. A stream runs through the grounds, so children must be supervised.
