This stunning barn conversion boasts an idyllic setting on a working farm, surrounded by open countryside. Sleeping two guests, it’s the perfect romantic bolthole with a cosy wood burner and a pretty patio too. Head into St Mabyn or St Tudy (both 1 mile away) to dine in one of the quaint village pubs. The cottage is located on the fringe of Bodmin Moor, providing you with endless walking opportunities across wild, open moorland. After a long walk, why not pop into the old smugglers’ haunt of Jamaica Inn, which is just 12 miles from the property? On the North Cornwall coast, you’ll find the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac too (6.5 miles).

The beautiful former granary has an open-plan layout and is bathed in natural light. Neutral tones offer a fabulous backdrop to elegant, exposed woodwork and sleek furniture. Dine together at the cute glass table by the window, before sinking into the sofa or armchair by the wood burner to watch a film on the TV/DVD. Underfloor heating runs throughout the property, ensuring the cottage is always inviting. Heading upstairs, you’ll find a fabulous king-size bedroom with a striking wooden floor and peaceful countryside views. There’s even an armchair too. A stylish bathroom with a free-standing bath and large walk-in shower completes the property.

Outside, you’ll find a charming patio garden, with outdoor furniture, pretty borders, and a BBQ for al fresco dining.

On arriving at The Granary, we were blown away. First, by how pretty it is, then by how well designed and put together it was, and lastly by the cleanliness of it. To say it was spotless was an understatement! It has everything you could possibly need for an incredibly comfortable stay in Cornwall. It was the perfect size for the two of us, with soRead more many thoughtful touches in terms of facilities and appliances. The kitchen has immaculate modern appliances which worked perfectly, (although all manuals were provided in the event of needing a hand) the lounge area was really comfortable and the log burner looked like it would keep you cosy (having arrived in August though we didn't need it!) Upstairs the bedroom was pretty, with a large comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was fantastic as well, with the shower being a particular favourite; spacious, great pressure and easy to use. There were thoughtful touches throughout that made The Granary stand out; milk, and local apple juice/cider in the fridge, a coffee machine, teabags and sugar provided, and even a Wii in the cupboard (which we never got round to using sadly). Plus, a very helpful folder told us everything from tips with the water to recycling info, and everything in between. The cottage is located in a beautiful area, just be aware of the single lane roads to get there, we'd got used to that within a couple of days. We really couldn't recommend The Granary enough. Hide

A comfortable, spacious and well-equipped property. The owners have taken care over the fittings. It's a very good property for a couple. A mile off the beaten track but it didn't take long to get to the village and other attractions in this part of Cornwall.

Overall we had a thoroughly great stay and the cleanliness and over all specification of the refurbishment is really high class ie underfloor heating (not used), internally doors and floor finishes, kitchen units and external doors and windows

Lovely property to stay in. Location very quiet but good instructions to find it. Amenities excellent. Outstanding quality of equipment. Very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Didn't meet the owners as busy with Royal Cornwall show.

Our stay at The Granary, Trevisquite, was everything we could wish. The cottage is furnished to the highest standard and equipped with very up-to-date appliances. The location has great views of the countryside and is quiet and peaceful.

Clean and comfortable property in a very quiet location. Ideal for a get away from it all break. Found plenty to do locally, coastal walks, beaches, bike rides. Reasonable pubs in the area. Found smoke alarm ultra sensitive and could have done with some bbq tools but otherwise excellent.

The Granary was spotlessly clean throughout, lovely towels and bedding . The owners we very kind in put milk , a beer in fridge , biscuits , tea , coffee , sugar .( Thank you ) Portable BBQ available outside . Views are lovely from front of cottage across the fields Polzeath beach near to cottage . WI-FI is very slow . Relaxing stay .

A very well appointed property, ideal for two people. All the appliances and white goods are very much up to date. Nice quiet location, if a bit remote, but that should not deter anyone, as you encounter hardly any traffic. The pub in St Mabyn does excellent food, the menus varying from day to day.
