An inviting cottage at the heart of the traditional, seaside town of Swanage, this Dorset holiday home could suit a family or a group of friends. Sleeping six guests, and also welcoming canine companions, the three-bedroom house sits in an elevated position with great access to shops, eateries and the beach. The cottage is 0.5 miles from the town’s sandy beach, where you can paddle, swim and take part in water sports. Guests can also stroll about the same distance to catch a steam train out into surrounding countryside of the Isle of Purbeck to enjoy the scenery. Pause at Castle Corfe to potter in the shops, have lunch out and see the castle ruins before heading back to town.
Climb the stone steps to the front of the cottage then let yourselves into the three-storey property to find airy accommodation with a welcoming appeal. The ground floor, where the lounge/kitchen/diner is situated, is very much the heart of the holiday home. Here there is plenty of soft seating for you to settle on after your exciting excursions out and about in Dorset. Underfloor heating runs throughout and there are doors that open on to the decked garden. The kitchen/diner is in this open plan living space to enjoy meals together. A double bedroom, with en-suite shower room, and a bunk bedroom are on the first floor of the cottage, together with the family bathroom. Another double bedroom, with some reduced head height, is on the floor above.
The attractive, decked garden is a fabulous space to enjoy meals out in the fresh air on spring and summer days. It is also the perfect place for a cup of tea of glass of wine as the sun goes down.
