There is plenty to explore on the doorstep, from meeting the animals that reside on this 200-acre working farm, to long walking trails into the surrounding forest and along the rivers. Just 3.5 miles away is the town of Rhayader which has a range of shops, eateries, and pubs. Alternatively, try out kayaking, paddleboarding or canoeing at Elan Valley, which is 6 miles from here. Take the kids for a day out at Valley View Falconry (7 miles) where you can get up close with falcons and other birds of prey, or watch native red kites at the feeding station in Rhayader.
A comfortable and attractive holiday home ideal for three generations of family or a group of friends. The open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen is a wonderful space with a warming wood burner, plenty of cosy seating, and a dining table with enough chairs for all guests. Cook and plate up in the kitchen which has everything you need to cater for all appetites. There is a handy cloakroom WC and a pretty family bathroom too. When it comes to bedtime, the first room on offer is a double bedroom, the second a triple with double bed and single bed, and the third is a twin room.
Outside, you have access to a private, elevated garden with idyllic surrounding views. Spend evenings soaking away in the private hot tub, which is available at extra cost, or dine alfresco on the garden furniture as you watch the birds soaring above you. Guests also have access to several shared facilities on site – these include a fabulous games room which has a pool table and table tennis. The owners have also developed a tree house above a badger sett, which is perfect for badger watching.
