An appealing, mews-style property, set on a quay on Whitby, this comfortable holiday home is ideal for exploring the town, as well as enjoying the seaside. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, contemporary cottage is just over 0.5 miles from the small Tate Hill Beach and 1 mile from the town’s main beach, with its seafront and pier. Wander the pretty streets of Whitby, pausing in independent shops and galleries and dining out in cafes and restaurants. Fans of gothic novels might also like to visit the Dracula Experience and climb the 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey, which features in the horror tale. Venture out of town to follow footpaths and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the North York Moors.
Cross the courtyard and let yourselves into your holiday home. You’ll find yourselves in the welcoming lounge, where you can sit back on the soft seating in front of your favourite programme on TV or choose a book or game from the selection offered here. Beyond the lounge is the kitchen/diner, which is well equipped and includes everything you need along with a dining table to enjoy meals at. Stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms – a welcoming double and a cosy twin, both off from the spacious landing. The family shower room is also at this level.
In front of the cottage there is a patio area with picnic bench to make the most of the finer days and views of the harbour.
