An attractive, end-of-terrace cottage, with a pretty garden, this holiday home is set in a tranquil corner of Skipton. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom bolthole is 0.5 miles from the centre of the market town, with its independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Visit the medieval castle, see the ruined priory and walk down the cobbled high street. Plan trips into the Yorkshire Dales, 2 miles away, where you can pick up any number of footpaths. Spend time in Malham, 11 miles away and in the heart of the national park, where you can visit the impressive tarn and curved limestone cove. Take in Gordale Scar, a great ravine in the landscape, 12 miles from the cottage, during your Yorkshire break.

Open the front door to the cottage and step straight into the lounge. This comfortable room is a great place to spend evenings together, playing games or watching TV. Adjoining the lounge is a conservatory, where members of your party might like to steal a few minutes of quiet time with a book perhaps. Amble on through to the kitchen/diner when mealtimes beckon to find this excellent space has been equipped with everything you might need to help you prepare meals with your own ingredients during your stay. At the end of each exciting day, climb the stairs to a double bedroom, which has an en-suite shower room, or the cosy twin room. The family bathroom is also at this level.

Step out from the conservatory to sit out in the small courtyard garden, with its cobbles and grassy area. Have coffee in the sunshine at the table out here.

This is the second time that we have stayed and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a nice quiet area but only a short walk into the town. The place is well looked after and the owner, who lives next door, is very helpful.

Lovely house, a few minutes walk from the centre of Skipton, excellent space for parking outside the house, lovely quiet street with small shops close by, two bathrooms were really good and the quality of furnishings and soft furnishings were best quality, the house was spotlessly clean and if we needed anything we could just knock next door, we coRead moreuldnt find fault with anything at all, would love to return, visited the castle, and Pendle Heritage Centre, both worth a visit. Cant praise this property, the service and location enough. As for Skipton Market its amazing, the people are so lovely too. All in all a thoroughly good stay. Hide

This holiday cottage is in a great location to walk into Skipton and as a base for exploring further afield. It was very quiet and parking was never a problem. The owner who lives next door was very welcoming and provided milk and biscuits for our arrival. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed.

Had a lovely stay here. It's perfect as a base for exploring the Dales and is also just a few minutes walk into Skipton town centre, which is great for places to eat if cooking on holiday is not your thing! The property itself is in a quiet street, has a lovely conservatory (cool for breakfast), large kitchen and two bathrooms!

House was clean, comfortable, in a good location that was very handy for the town centre. Welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk and biscuits was most welcome. Lovely eateries and pubs in Skipton for meals out, and a great centre for touring that part of Yorkshire.
