Gather together friends or family and spend some quality time at this truly stunning Manor house. The impressive Grade -ll* listed property is set within 15 acres of grounds which, although only remnants remain of it's once formal garden, still provide a fascinating reminder of a bygone era, steeped in history. There is plenty of room to explore, picnic or play games on the lawn (croquet sets provided), or find a quiet corner to sit and relax. Features include yew avenues, sweeping lawns, woodland areas, a summer house and pond. Guests and their dogs are encouraged to explore the gardens and admire the magnificent views. The house was once owned by a slate quarry owner who initially renovated it in the Arts and Crafts style of the late Victorian era. Now sympathetically modernised, guests can enjoy this unique Manor. If you can tear yourself away, you are only a few miles from both Criccieth and Porthmadog, and within easy reach of all that North Wales has to offer; beautiful beaches, castles, steam trains, the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and (Yr Wyddfa) Snowdon, mountain and coastal walking, great cafes and restaurants, the list goes on.
The Manor sleeps a total of 18 people (including 4 children’s pull out beds) and a separate house sleeping 4. The owners have managed to blend perfectly the original features with smart modern conveniences. Enter through the magnificent door into the huge entrance hall with a wood burning stove where you can just stop and admire the grandeur. Leading off from this is the games room which can be converted into a conference or celebration space on request. The sitting room perfectly blends the old and new, with leather sofas to relax in whilst sitting around the log burning stove after a day out exploring. The large kitchen is well equipped for family catering or for caterers/chefs if required and adjoins a large dining room with seating for 22 guests. The snug room provides further seating and can convert into a bedroom for 4 children, ideal for groups of kids wanting to sleep in the same room together! A further two stunning bedrooms are found in the main house with another three off the internal covered atrium. This space has further seating areas and is ideal for relaxing or playing games. The remaining space is in the separate Butlers House which has a kitchen, dining area, living room, bathroom and two bedrooms. This is perfect for families or friends wanting a bit of private space.
