This impressive black and white, timber-framed holiday home sleeps up to 12 guests across three floors. Tucked away in a quiet spot near the Suffolk coast, it boasts beautiful views of Thorpeness village and glimpses of the sea, and also overlooks the prestigious Thorpeness Country Club tennis courts. Thorpeness is a popular holiday destination thanks to its literary history and the artificial Meare lake. The Meare comprises many little islands, all named by J.M Barrie, the author of Peter Pan. Hire boasts and drift between fairy-tale settings such as the pirate’s lair and Wendy’s house.
On the ground floor, there is an entrance hall with space to hang coats; you then enter the open-plan lounge/diner. The living area features two sofas, an armchair, a TV with a DVD player and a Bluetooth speaker, and a wood burner-effect gas fire. There’s then a large wooden table and chairs that seats ten people, and French doors leading out to the garden. The kitchen offers all the appliances you should need to feed hungry mouths and do laundry while staying with a large group of people. The final room on the ground floor is a cloakroom with a WC. Up on the first floor are three bedrooms: a king size bed with an en-suite shower room and a balcony offering sea views, a double bedroom, and finally a day bed (which can be made into a king) with an additional bunk bed. Also on this floor is the family bathroom. The second floor comprises bedrooms four and five, and will be closed off when there are bookings with smaller occupancies. Both are twin rooms with stunning views of Thorpeness village. There is also another cloakroom on this floor with a WC.
Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture for guests to sit back and relax in.
